La Gloria Cubana is a classic brand blended by Ernesto Carillo. They are a very unique cigar in terms of flavor and are one of my favorite brands. I have been smoking La Gloria Cubanas for around 10 years now. The blend to me has not changed. I credit this to the fact that Ernesto is a very fine blender and knows what works. Right now Ernesto has 4 different domestic blends of the LGC, the regular blend, Serie R, Reserva Figurado, and the Serie R Limitada.
Today I have the LGC Churchill. This is the regular blend of the line but is still a very good everyday smoke rounding out around $3.00/stick. The construction is always top notch with only a vein or two visible in the wrapper. Initial light up is of cedar and earth. This particular cigar also has some pepper notes. Not as many as i like but that is why they have the Serie R version. This cigar is a lot better with some age, so if you buy a box put it away for a couple of years and revisit this wonderful treat.
I am the Chief Editor of In The Humidor and have been running this site since 2007! I enjoy a great cigar with friends and just hanging around the house. I have 3 beautiful daughters and a wonderful wife, we live in the Dallas, Tx area. I also enjoy a good bourbon, craft beer, and absolutely love the ocean and beach.
