Royal Agio Releases Balmoral Añejo XO Nicaragua
June 11th, 2019 (Bradenton, Fla.) – Royal Agio Cigars USA announced today that they will be expanding the Balmoral Añejo XO lineup with the release of Balmoral Añejo XO Nicaragua. The new release will be displayed in the Royal Agio booth (Booth #3638) at the 2019 IPCPR Tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV.
The release of Balmoral Añejo XO Nicaragua further rounds out the lineup for Balmoral Añejo XO that currently includes Añejo XO (Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper), Añejo XO Connecticut and Añejo XO Oscuro (Mexican San Andrés wrapper). Once again, this new blend aligns directly with the blending philosophy of the Balmoral Añejo XO brand, which is about consistently delivering the optimal balance of sophisticated complexity and smoothness. Each meticulously crafted, extensively aged cigar blend is the result of a relentless curiosity and global search for the top 5% of select premium tobaccos available, including the exclusive, signature Brazilian Mata Norte, that combine to accentuate flavor notes with an underlying natural sweetness.
When asked about the new Añejo XO Nicaragua blend, Boris Wintermans, 4th Generation CEO of Royal Agio Cigars stated, “The new Añejo XO Nicaragua is a special blend that has been in development for quite some time because, as usual, we wanted to ensure that we had the perfect combination of unique and exclusive, aged premium tobaccos that would make this Nicaragua blend truly stand out. Our curious approach to blending has once again led us to an exceptional, one-of-a- kind discovery sure to delight cigar lovers everywhere.â€
The Balmoral Añejo XO Nicaragua blend is crowned with a sun-grown Nicaraguan Habano wrapper and provides a luxuriously bold experience with complex notes of rich oak, espresso, hazelnut and peppery spices that finish with a smooth, underlying natural sweetness.
Balmoral Añejo XO Nicaragua will also be handcrafted at the boutique, Royal Agio cigar factory in San Pedro de MacorÃs, Dominican Republic, and will be offered in the same vitolas as current Balmoral Añejo XO blends – Torpedo Mk52 6 ¼ x 52 (MSRP $11.25), Gran Toro 6 x 52 (MSRP
$10.50), Rothschild Masivo 5 x 55 (MSRP $9.75), Corona 5 7/8 x 42 (MSRP $9.00) and Petit Robusto FT (Flagtail) 4 ¼ x 48 (MSRP $8.50). These new blends will begin shipping to U.S. retailers in August, 2019.
I am a Texan through and through, born and raised in North Texas and lived here my entire life, give or a take a few years. Many moons ago I was a collegiate athlete, having played baseball for two years at Odessa Junior College and a year at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR. My days now are spent fishing bass tournaments and learning as much as I can about the cigars I smoke on a daily basis. And while it has nothing to do with anything GO DALLAS STARS!!
