My rating:
starsI am a big fan of the Rocky Patel line of cigars and just love the RP Sun Grown and 1992. This is another one of Rockys master blends in his value line of cigars. This cigar is well constructed and box pressed. It has a pretty dark wrapper and nice aroma. When i first lit this cigar it had a kind of harshness to it. I thought nothing of it as i figured it would go away as i smoked it. I was wrong, for some reason the cigar maintained the bitter taste and slight harshness and was not as enjoyable as i would have liked. I hung in there though and the last 3rd of the cigar started to get better and gave me hints of leather and spice. I have been a fan of the Indian Tabac’s in the past but this one was not quite my cup of tea. All in all there are many other cigars i would have chosen over this one.
I am the Chief Editor of In The Humidor and have been running this site since 2007! I enjoy a great cigar with friends and just hanging around the house. I have 3 beautiful daughters and a wonderful wife, we live in the Dallas, Tx area. I also enjoy a good bourbon, craft beer, and absolutely love the ocean and beach.
